Founder & CEO
Meet Ronnie Battle Jr.
A native of Fort
Myers, Florida, the origin of Ronnie Battle’s
determination to serve and as “iron” to
“sharpen iron” began at an early age. His
goal was simple … to become somebody
and help others to do the same. Despite the
drug-infested communities that surrounded
him and the lack of a consistent male role
model, Ronnie was determined to beat ALL
odds! Among the numerous academic and
sports accolades, he became eligible for an
academic collegiate scholarship while still
in middle school among other academic
accomplishments.
Ronnie enrolled in the University of Florida
where he played cornerback for the four-
time SEC and 1996 National Champions
Florida Gators. This experience was a
pivotal point in his life, affording him
opportunities that he could only imagine.
In 1998, Ronnie graduated with a 3.1 GPA,
while receiving a Bachelor of Business
Science in Advertising from Florida.
Following a career-ending leg injury and a
brief stint with the National Football League
(NFL), Ronnie moved to Atlanta, Georgia
where he became the Founder/CEO of
Fellowship Sports, Inc. (FSI). He infused his
personal and family motto “Battle the Odds”
into the organization, daring the campers to
live beyond their wildest dreams and
remember Philippians 4:13.
At the inception of FSI, the founder recalls
the day his purpose was revealed: “God led
me to give back what has been given to me
and what is so desperately needed in our
communities.”
A devoted husband to Mrs. Dionne Battle
and father of three (Ryan, Nina and Ronnie
III), Ronnie knows that none of these
incredible successes would have been
possible without the guidance of our Savior,
Jesus Christ.
Ronnie is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Incorporated, a deacon and youth
leader for New Mercies Christian Church,
and the Founder of the newly formed Battle
Sports Academy (BSA), an organization
designed to empower young athletes
through sports, mentorship, tutoring and
financial literacy programs. Through BSA, he
is able to bring his simple goal full circle …
“to become somebody and help others to
become somebody”.
Ronnie philanthropic endeavors reach far
beyond the aforementioned. He continues
to consistently serve his community and
the underserved through his church,
fraternity and personally…and the story is
still being told
